Garment Care

All of our Love Stories designs have been crafted with the utmost precision to ensure the best possible quality and durability. Properly caring for your precious garments will help make them last the longest possible time.

Here are some easy-to-follow instructions to enhance the life of your favourite pieces.

  • Always follow the instructions on the individual care label for each product. Use a washing bag for your intimates when laundering in the washing machine. This protects the fabric and minimizes the risk of damage to delicate items.
  • Washing in cold water (no warmer than 30°C) is better for the environment and better for your garments. This is particularly true for swimwear, which should be rinsed in cold water after each use. Using cold water helps reduce colour fading and uses less energy at the same time.
  • Our viscose/rayon cover-ups can be carefully ironed back into shape after washing. To remove minor wrinkles, hang your garment in the bathroom whilst you shower. The steam created is usually enough to smooth out most fabrics.
  • Do not put your Love Stories’ products in the dryer. This might damage the material and the elastane in will lose its stretch. Also, don’t let your undercovers dry in the sun, this might change the color. This won’t be a problem for our swimwear, so you can just lay in the sun while wearing your bikini or bathing suit.

Washingbag

On every product page you can find specific care instructions. Use our washingbag to take care of your Love Stories products.

How to wash padded bralettes

Before washing your bralette, make sure you take out the padding first. If you leave it in, the padding might fold and the shape might change. Wash the padding separately and put it back in the cups when dry to make sure the fit doesn’t change. Also, don’t forget to wash your bralette in a washing bag.

How to wash silk

Silk is a luxurious, high quality fabric which needs a little more care and attention. Because of this delicate material, you shouldn’t put your silk items in the washing machine or iron them. Wash your garments by hand with a maximum temperature of 40°C and use a laundry detergent specifically for silk.

How to wash swimwear

Our swimwear can be washed in the washing machine, in a washing bag, with a mild process and a maximum temperature of 30°C. After a swim, rinse your swimsuit with cold water to remove any salt or chlorine before washing it.
