About the role:

Love Stories is an international company with subsidiaries in several countries. In this broad financial role you will be responsible for all these administrations.

The activities are diverse:

• Review and record purchase invoices for several Love Stories entities while ensuring correct (international) VAT treatment;
• Review, approve, and process credit card statements and employee expense claims;
• Analyze and respond to external/internal supplier-related inquiries and perform supplier statement of account reconciliations;
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure discrepancies are explained;
• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded;
• Contract management;
• Assist with payroll processing as needed;
• Assist with tax compliance (VAT/ ICP) as needed;
• Support month-end and year-end close processes; 
• Identify process improvements/ risks.

 In addition to these 'regular' activities, there are also several cool projects on the agenda where your knowledge and skills will be used. A new ERP system will be implemented in 2024/2025. The finance team, including you, will play a major role in this implementation. Gain hands-on experience to enhance your technical skills and understand integrated business processes.  As the ideal candidate, you are:

• Proactive and pragmatic financial who enjoys working in a creative environment;
• Analytical and communicative;
• Able to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information;
• Flexible, enterprising, and you have empathy. This fits the dynamics and culture of the company.

 You also have:

• MBO+/ HBO working and thinking level;
• Fluent in English, any other EU language (especially Dutch) is a plus;
• Proficient in Excel and ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics experience is a plus);
• 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in a similar position.
