Interim Marketing Manager (Maternity Cover)

Type: Part-time, 24-32 hours per week
Location: Amsterdam

About the role

This is a temporary position covering maternity leave from October 2026 for approximately six to eight months.

We are looking for an experienced Interim Marketing Manager to ensure the continued smooth operation of our Marketing team with a steady hand and a clear overview.

This is not a role for someone looking to reshape the brand. You do not need to be the most creative person in the room. You need to be the person who keeps everyone organised, on budget, and on schedule. You will own the brand calendar and campaign planning, monitor performance closely, and ensure that nothing falls through the cracks while our Marketing Manager is on leave.

Affinity with e-commerce is a strong advantage, as you will work closely with our e-commerce and merchandising teams, using their insights to inform campaign decisions.

What you’ll do

  • Own the brand calendar and campaign planning, coordinating the execution of all marketing activities across channels, including newsletters, social media, and campaign launches.
  • Coordinate online advertising with our marketing agency by aligning the brand calendar with upcoming campaign activity, discussing concepts, and briefing the agency using input from the e-commerce and merchandising teams.
  • Lead and manage the Marketing team on a day-to-day basis. Team leadership is a core part of this role.
  • Manage the marketing budget.
  • Represent the Marketing department in Management Team meetings and report back to the team.
  • Ensure continuity by taking ownership of ongoing projects and handing them over smoothly at the end of the assignment.

Who you are

  • An experienced marketing manager with proven leadership and people management experience. You are here to steer the team, not redesign the brand.
  • Calm, direct, and highly organised. You maintain a clear overview, even when working under pressure.
  • Equipped with a strong corporate toolkit, including structured ways of working, reporting, and well-defined processes. Experience in a larger, more structured organisation is an advantage, but not essential.
  • A collaborative team player who leaves people and projects better than they found them.
  • Available for the full duration of the assignment, including a short handover period with the current Marketing Manager before she goes on maternity leave.
