About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Buyer to join our team at Love Stories. This is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their career who brings fresh energy, a proactive mindset, and a strong interest in fashion buying and production. In this role, you’ll work at the heart of our buying and production process; from tracking supplier allocations during development, to following up on samples, negotiating and placing purchase orders, and supporting production timelines.

With multiple seasonal buying cycles each year, you will work closely with a small, cross-functional team, supporting smooth collaboration between Design, Product Development, Merchandising, Sales, Logistics, and Finance. The role includes hands-on involvement in both the buying and production lifecycle, with a strong focus on administrative coordination and follow-up.

 Description of the tasks:

• Ensure smooth buying and production processes, acting as the spider in the web connecting all teams.
• Create and place purchase orders for sampling and production based on forecasts and demand, supporting seasonal buying cycles and ensuring timelines and deliveries stay on track. Maintain close coordination with the HK buying office, with strong attention to fit, fabrics, and construction; experience with lingerie is considered a strong pre.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with (mostly lingerie-focused) suppliers in a hands-on role, supporting negotiations, clear day-to-day communication, and administrative follow-up. Assist in monitoring supplier performance, quality, and fit consistency to ensure smooth execution.
• Work with Excel and ERP/buying systems to generate reports and support decision-making, using advanced skills such as formulas and pivot tables.

What we ask:

• Around 2+ year of experience in a buying role in fashion buying
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills - you enjoy collaborating across teams and with suppliers.
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to manage your time and priorities in a structured way.
• Curiosity, and a self-starter attitude. You’re ready to grow and learn on the job.
• You are eligible to work in the Netherlands – fluent in Dutch & English
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP/buying systems, such as Microsoft Dynamics (Navision)
• Experience with XRPT (ERP) systems
• Experience with a PLM system is considered a plus
