About the role

Are you an analytical planner with a passion for detail and strong numerical insight? Do you have experience in the retail market and are you ready to play a crucial role in inventory and turnover planning within a dynamic team? Then this position as Merchandise Planner at Love Stories might be your next challenge.

As a Merchandise Planner you are responsible for analyzing sales data, inventory position and optimizing product availability to maximize sales and profitability. You work closely with sales (retail, wholesale and online), production and logistics to ensure that the right products are available at the right time and in the right place.

Description of the tasks

• You analyse sales and item performance, prepare regular reports and provide insights to support strategic decisions.
• You manage the product range and merchandising across all sales channels (e-commerce, retail, consignment, and B2B).
• You monitor and coordinate item management in the system, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
• You monitor and manage stock levels across channels, coordinate replenishment and allocation orders, maintain optimal min-max levels, and address aged inventory.
• You work closely with the buying team to align on purchasing plans and take action based on performance and stock needs.
• You create and maintain merchandise and financial plans based on sales trends, forecasts, and market developments to achieve sales, margin, and inventory goals.
• You support collection budgeting and contribute to the seasonal line plan.
• You prepare season closing recaps and share key insights and learnings to inform future planning.

What we ask

• You have at least 2-4 years of relevant work experience in the field of goods planning and inventory management (preferably within the fashion industry);
• You have a higher professional education diploma
• Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive attitude and problem-solving ability
